WHPK Radio 88.5 FM in Chicago (The Pride of the South Side) presents a weekly program called "Radio Dada" which features a multitude of styles, choices and textures, depending upon the particular host that evening. Radio Dada is at its best when
it is showing (via a contrasting blend of music and
sounds) that just about any piece of recorded sound
can fit next to any other provided that the context is
excellent. C.M. Sienko presented the program on September 3rd, 2002, the final hour being a collage of sound with the central reference point of UCR 1003, "Everything Is Under Control" and also featuring Crawl Unit, The Conet Project, Spykedmammal, Target Shoppers, Weakling, AMK/R&G/Factor X, and others. In keeping with the Uranium City Records mission of lost and found sound on sound, we bring you the entire hour as the first in the Radio Dada series.
"This recording becomes more frightening the more times you listen to it...simpleton conspiracy theories drift in the background as if in some dream while noises on and off shake and mystify; shortwave number stations pound their eerie rhythms; it's as if all the answers to everything we aren't supposed to know are broadcast at once, in code, with no way to decipher them." -Joe Johnston
